What you enter stays on your device

PlanKit does not require registration or login. Calendars, Secret Santa draws, bingo cards, word searches, rotas, shift calendars and seating charts are calculated in your browser. Names, words, dates and rosters you type are not sent to our servers. Files you download (PDF, .ics, .csv, .txt) are created on your device.

Saved on your device

The staff rota maker saves your rota (names, pay rates and shifts) in your browser’s local storage, so it is still there when you come back on the same device. The seating chart maker and the classroom seating chart do the same with your guest list, tables, rules and notes (such as dietary needs) or your class list. None of this is uploaded, and you can remove it by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Plan files you save (.json or .csv) stay wherever you put them, and opening one reads it on your device only. The bingo card and word search pages keep your words and settings in the page address after the # sign, which is not sent to our server. Other tools keep nothing after you close the page.

Secret Santa links

Each reveal link holds one match in the part of the address after the # sign (the fragment). Browsers do not include the fragment when they request a page, so our server never receives it. The match is scrambled so it cannot be read at a glance, but it is not encrypted: anyone with a link can open it, so share each link only with the person it belongs to.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type and the page requested, without the fragment) for security and performance monitoring.

We may use cookies for analytics and, if ads are enabled, Google AdSense. Where required, we ask for consent first. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
